Beer

Beer is a fermented alcoholic beverage made from malted grains, typically barley, flavoured with hops and brewed in styles ranging from light lagers to dark stouts. In cooking, it is used in batters, marinades, braises, and bread doughs, where its carbonation and malty or bitter notes add flavour and, in batters, lightness. Different styles bring distinct flavour profiles, from bready and malty to bitter and hoppy.
