Black sesame seeds
Black sesame seeds are the unhulled seeds of the sesame plant, with a slightly stronger, more bitter flavour than white sesame seeds. They are used in East Asian baking, desserts, and as a garnish for their striking colour and nutty flavour. They are often toasted before use to enhance their aroma.
