Blueberries (fresh)
Blueberries are small, round berries with a sweet flavour and a dusty blue-purple skin, eaten fresh or cooked into baked goods, jams, and sauces. They hold their shape reasonably well during baking, releasing juice that can tint batters purple. Frozen blueberries are widely used as a convenient substitute for fresh in cooked applications.
Measured fresh, before any drying, cooking, or other processing changes its water content and density.
