Bourbon

Bourbon is an American whiskey made primarily from corn, aged in charred new oak barrels, giving it a rich, slightly sweet flavour with notes of vanilla and caramel. It is used in cocktails, glazes, and desserts, where its sweetness and oak character can add depth. In cooking, it is often reduced or flambéed to soften the sharp alcohol taste while retaining its flavour.
