Brazil nuts (whole)
Brazil nuts are large, oily nuts that grow inside a hard, round pod on trees native to the Amazon rainforest, with a rich, buttery flavour. They are eaten raw or roasted as a snack, or chopped and used in baking and confectionery. Their high fat content means they can turn rancid more quickly than drier nuts if not stored properly.
Measured whole and unprepared, before any chopping, slicing, or other processing changes its density.
