Butternut pumpkin (diced)
Butternut pumpkin, also called butternut squash, is a pear-shaped winter squash with a smooth tan skin and sweet, orange flesh. It is roasted, steamed, or puréed into soups, and its dense flesh becomes tender and slightly sweet when cooked. Its firm texture makes it easier to peel and cube than some other pumpkin varieties.
Dicing cuts an ingredient into small, even cubes, which pack differently into a cup than slices or larger chopped pieces.
