Cape gooseberry (fresh)

Cape gooseberry, also known as physalis or golden berry, is a small, orange fruit encased in a papery husk, with a sweet-tart flavour similar to a cross between a tomato and a tropical fruit. It is eaten raw as a snack or garnish, or cooked into jams and desserts. The husk is peeled back before eating but can be left attached decoratively for garnishing.
