Caperberries (drained)

Caperberries are the mature fruit of the caper bush, larger than regular capers and typically pickled in brine or vinegar, often sold still attached to their stem. They have a briny, slightly tart flavour similar to capers but milder, and are used as a garnish for cocktails or served alongside cheese and charcuterie. Their texture is firmer than that of smaller pickled capers.

Draining removes excess liquid, so a drained measurement is lighter and less liquid-heavy than an undrained one.
