Capers (small drained)
Capers are the small, unopened flower buds of the caper bush, typically pickled in brine or packed in salt. They have a sharp, briny, slightly tangy flavour and are used in small amounts to season sauces, salads, and fish dishes, particularly in Mediterranean cooking. Salt-packed capers are usually rinsed before use to remove excess salt.
