Capsicum (diced)
Capsicum, also known as bell pepper, is a sweet, crisp pepper available in green, red, yellow, and orange varieties, with green being less ripe and generally more bitter than the sweeter, riper colours. It is eaten raw in salads, roasted, grilled, or stir-fried, and its hollow, seed-filled interior is removed before cooking. Its thick flesh softens but retains some structure even after prolonged cooking.
Dicing cuts an ingredient into small, even cubes, which pack differently into a cup than slices or larger chopped pieces.
