Choko (diced)
Choko, also known as chayote, is a pale green, wrinkled squash with a mild, slightly crisp flesh similar to a cross between cucumber and apple. It is peeled, seeded, and cooked in stir-fries, soups, and pickles, or eaten raw in salads. It has a relatively neutral flavour that readily absorbs the taste of other ingredients it is cooked with.
Dicing cuts an ingredient into small, even cubes, which pack differently into a cup than slices or larger chopped pieces.
