Coconut milk
Coconut milk is made by blending grated coconut flesh with water and straining out the solids, producing a rich, creamy liquid used widely in Southeast Asian, South Asian, and Caribbean cooking. It adds body and a distinct sweetness to curries, soups, and desserts. Canned versions are typically thicker and richer than the more diluted coconut milk sold as a dairy alternative in cartons.
