Coconut nectar
Coconut nectar is a sweet syrup made from the sap collected from coconut palm flower buds, boiled down to a thick, caramel-coloured liquid. It has a flavour closer to caramel or brown sugar than to coconut, and is used as a natural liquid sweetener in baking and drinks. It is unrelated in flavour to coconut flesh or coconut milk.
