Coconut water (liquid)

Coconut water is the clear liquid found inside young, green coconuts, distinct from coconut milk, which is made by processing the flesh. It has a light, slightly sweet, refreshing flavour and is drunk on its own or used in smoothies and some cooking applications. It is much thinner and less rich than coconut milk or cream.

As a free-flowing liquid, this ingredient fills a measuring cup with no trapped air pockets, so its weight is close to a straightforward density calculation.
