Coriander seeds
Coriander seeds are the small, round dried seeds of the coriander plant, with a warm, citrusy, slightly nutty flavour quite different from the fresh leaves of the same plant. They are used whole or ground in spice blends, pickling, and curries, and are often lightly toasted to enhance their aroma before grinding. They form one half of the common pairing with cumin in many spice mixes.
