Crumpet (diced)

A crumpet is a small, round griddle cake made from a yeasted batter, with a spongy texture full of small holes on top and a smooth underside. It is toasted and served with butter or spreads, its holey surface designed to soak up toppings. It differs from pancakes in its distinctive porous texture, achieved through the fermentation of the batter.
