Demerara sugar
Demerara sugar is a coarse, light brown, minimally refined cane sugar with large crystals and a subtle molasses flavour. It is often used as a topping for baked goods like crumbles and muffins for its crunchy texture, as well as sweetening coffee and tea. Its larger crystal size distinguishes it from finer brown sugars.
