Dried apricots (chopped)
Dried apricots are apricots that have had most of their moisture removed, concentrating their natural sweetness and tartness into a chewy, dense fruit. They are eaten as a snack, added to baked goods, or used in savoury dishes like tagines for a sweet contrast. Their chewy texture and concentrated flavour are markedly different from fresh apricots.
Chopping breaks an ingredient into pieces, which changes how much air gets trapped between them compared with the whole form.
