Dried chilli (whole)
Dried chilli refers to whole chilli peppers that have been dehydrated, concentrating their flavour and heat while giving them a wrinkled, leathery texture. They are used whole in simmered dishes, rehydrated and blended into pastes and sauces, or ground into chilli powder or flakes. Drying often changes their flavour profile, adding smoky or fruity notes not present in the fresh pepper.
Measured whole and unprepared, before any chopping, slicing, or other processing changes its density.
