Dulce de leche
Dulce de leche is a thick, caramel-like confection made by slowly cooking sweetened milk until it thickens and turns a deep golden-brown, popular throughout Latin America. It is used as a spread, filling for pastries, or topping for desserts, with a flavour similar to caramel but with a milkier, richer character. Its thick, spoonable consistency distinguishes it from thinner caramel sauces.
