Elderflower cordial (liquid)
Elderflower cordial is a sweet, floral syrup made by steeping elderflower blossoms in sugar syrup, often with added citrus. It is diluted with water for a refreshing drink, or used undiluted in cocktails, desserts, and baking for its distinct floral flavour. Its concentrated sweetness and fragrance mean only a small amount is needed to flavour a dish or drink.
As a free-flowing liquid, this ingredient fills a measuring cup with no trapped air pockets, so its weight is close to a straightforward density calculation.
