Flaxseed oil
Flaxseed oil is pressed from flaxseeds, with a distinct nutty flavour and a composition that makes it unsuitable for high-heat cooking, as it degrades and can turn bitter when heated. It is typically used raw, drizzled over salads or blended into dressings and smoothies. It should be stored in the refrigerator, as it is prone to going rancid.
