Galangal powder (powder)

Galangal powder is made from dried, ground galangal rhizome, providing a convenient way to add its sharp, citrusy, gingery flavour without needing the fresh root. It is used in spice blends and curry pastes when fresh galangal is unavailable. Its flavour is more concentrated but less complex than that of the fresh rhizome.

As a fine powder, this ingredient packs densely into a cup with very little trapped air.
