Goat cheese (crumbled)

Goat cheese, or chèvre, is made from goat's milk and has a distinctively tangy, earthy flavour, with textures ranging from soft and spreadable to firm and aged. It is used crumbled over salads, spread on bread, or baked, and its tanginess is generally sharper than that of similar cow's milk cheeses. Fresh, young goat cheese is softer and milder than aged varieties.

Crumbling breaks an ingredient into irregular pieces with air gaps between them, making it lighter per cup than a solid block.
