Graham crackers (crushed)
Graham crackers are slightly sweet, whole wheat crackers with a subtly honeyed flavour, commonly used in American baking. They are eaten on their own or crushed and mixed with butter to form the base of cheesecakes and pies. Their firm, crumbly texture makes them easy to crush into fine crumbs.
Crushing breaks an ingredient into irregular fragments, which can pack either more loosely or more densely than the whole form depending on fragment size.
