Green beans (chopped)
Green beans are slender, immature pods of the common bean plant, eaten whole, pod and all, with a crisp texture and mild, grassy flavour. They are steamed, boiled, stir-fried, or roasted, and are typically trimmed of their stem ends before cooking. Their colour and crunch are best preserved with shorter cooking times.
Chopping breaks an ingredient into pieces, which changes how much air gets trapped between them compared with the whole form.
