Iceberg lettuce (shredded)

Iceberg lettuce is a round, tightly packed head lettuce with pale green, crisp leaves and a mild, watery flavour. It is used in salads, sandwiches, and as a crunchy base for wraps, valued mainly for its crispness rather than flavour. Its dense structure gives it a longer shelf life than more delicate lettuce varieties.

Shredding produces long, thin strips that trap more air than a fine grate, so shredded measurements are typically lighter per cup.
