Inulin powder
Inulin powder is a soluble fibre extracted from plants such as chicory root, with a mildly sweet taste and a texture similar to fine sugar or flour. It is used as a fibre additive and mild sweetener in baking and processed foods, and can also act as a partial sugar or fat substitute due to its ability to add bulk and a slight creaminess. It does not brown or caramelise the way sugar does.
