Kelp noodles (drained)

Kelp noodles are translucent, gelatinous noodles made from ground kelp, a type of seaweed, combined with water and a small amount of salt. They have a very mild flavour and a crunchy, slightly gelatinous texture, used raw in salads or briefly cooked in stir-fries and soups. Unlike wheat or rice noodles, they require no cooking and are often eaten straight from the package after rinsing.

Draining removes excess liquid, so a drained measurement is lighter and less liquid-heavy than an undrained one.
