Kirsch
Kirsch is a clear brandy distilled from cherries, including their pits, giving it a distinctive almond-like note alongside its cherry character. It is used in desserts such as Black Forest cake and fondue, as well as in cocktails, adding a concentrated fruit flavour once the raw alcohol cooks off. Its flavour is drier and less sweet than cherry liqueurs.
