Limoncello
Limoncello is an Italian lemon liqueur made by steeping lemon zest in a neutral spirit, then sweetening it with sugar syrup, resulting in a bright, intensely lemony, sweet drink. It is traditionally served chilled as a digestif, but is also used in desserts, cocktails, and glazes for its concentrated citrus flavour. Its sweetness and strong lemon aroma distinguish it from plain lemon juice or zest in a recipe.
