Maple syrup
Maple syrup is a sweet syrup made by boiling down the sap collected from maple trees, with a distinct caramel-like flavour that varies in intensity depending on the grade. It is used as a topping for pancakes and waffles, as well as a natural sweetener in baking, glazes, and dressings. Darker grades generally have a more robust, pronounced maple flavour than lighter grades.
