Marzipan
Marzipan is a sweet, pliable paste made from ground almonds and sugar, used to make decorative shapes, fillings for pastries, and coatings for cakes. It has a dense, slightly chewy texture and a rich almond flavour, and can be tinted with food colouring and moulded into intricate shapes. It is similar to almond paste but generally contains a higher proportion of sugar and finer texture.
