Milk (soy)
Milk generally refers to a nutritious liquid used as a drink and a foundational cooking and baking ingredient, traditionally from cows but now commonly including plant-based alternatives such as almond, oat, soy, and coconut milk. Fat content and thickness vary considerably between dairy and plant-based types, which affects the richness and texture of dishes it's used in. Dairy milk is also the base ingredient for cream, butter, and most cheeses, while plant-based milks are produced by blending and straining their source ingredient with water.
