Mushroom powder
Mushroom powder is made from dried, ground mushrooms, often a blend of varieties, concentrating their savoury, umami flavour into a fine powder. It is used as a seasoning to boost savouriness in soups, sauces, gravies, and rubs, without adding the moisture or texture of fresh or rehydrated mushrooms. A small amount adds significant depth to a dish.
