Oats (steel cut)
Oats are a cereal grain typically processed into rolled or steel-cut forms, with a mild, slightly sweet, nutty flavour and a chewy texture once cooked. They are cooked into porridge, used in baking for biscuits and granola, or ground into oat flour. Steel-cut oats retain more texture and take longer to cook than rolled oats, which have been steamed and flattened.
