Panforte (diced)

Panforte is a dense, chewy Italian confection from Siena, made from nuts, candied fruit, honey, and spices, formed into a flat, cake-like disc. It is served in thin slices, similar to fruitcake, and its dense, sticky texture comes from the high proportion of honey and dried fruit relative to flour. It is traditionally associated with the Christmas season in Italy.

Dicing cuts an ingredient into small, even cubes, which pack differently into a cup than slices or larger chopped pieces.
