Panko breadcrumbs
Panko breadcrumbs are a Japanese-style breadcrumb made from crustless white bread, processed into large, light, airy flakes rather than fine crumbs. They are used as a coating for fried and baked foods, producing a notably crunchier, crispier texture than standard breadcrumbs. Their larger, drier flakes absorb less oil during frying than denser breadcrumbs.
