Peaches (canned drained)
Peaches are soft, fuzzy-skinned stone fruits with sweet, juicy flesh, available in both freestone and clingstone varieties depending on how easily the flesh separates from the pit. They are eaten fresh, grilled, baked into pies and cobblers, or preserved as jams. Their flesh softens and releases considerable juice when cooked.
Once drained of its canning liquid, this ingredient weighs less per cup than it does undrained, though usually more than the dried, unsoaked form.
