Peanut oil
Peanut oil is a mild, slightly nutty oil pressed from peanuts, with a high smoke point that makes it a popular choice for deep frying and stir-frying. It is used in Asian and Southern American cooking, where its neutral to mildly nutty flavour doesn't overpower other ingredients. Refined versions have a milder flavour than unrefined, cold-pressed peanut oil.
