Pecan (roughly chopped)
Pecans are smooth, oblong nuts with a rich, buttery, slightly sweet flavour, native to North America and closely related to walnuts. They are eaten raw or roasted as a snack, or used in baking, particularly in pecan pie and other desserts. Their high fat content gives them a softer texture than many other nuts.
Roughly chopped pieces are larger and more irregular, trapping more air in a cup than finely chopped pieces of the same ingredient.
