Pomegranate seeds
Pomegranate seeds, also called arils, are the juicy, ruby-red seed casings found inside a pomegranate, with a sweet-tart flavour and a satisfying crunch from the small seed within each aril. They are eaten fresh as a snack, scattered over salads and desserts as a garnish, or pressed for juice. Removing them from the fruit's white pith can be done by hand or by submerging the fruit in water.
