Psyllium husk
Psyllium husk is a soluble fibre derived from the seeds of the Plantago plant, forming a thick, gel-like substance when combined with liquid. It is used in gluten-free baking to add elasticity and structure that gluten would otherwise provide, as well as taken as a dietary fibre supplement. Only a small amount is needed due to its strong gelling and thickening properties.
