Pumpkin seeds (raw)
Pumpkin seeds, also known as pepitas when hulled, are flat, oval seeds with a mild, nutty flavour. They are eaten raw or roasted as a snack, sprinkled over salads and baked goods, or ground into sauces. Unhulled seeds retain a tough, fibrous outer shell that is typically removed before eating.
Measured in its raw, unprocessed state, before any cooking changes its water content and texture.
