Raisins
Raisins are dried grapes, with a wrinkled skin and a concentrated, sticky sweetness compared to fresh grapes. They are eaten as a snack, added to baking, cereals, and trail mixes, or used in savoury dishes for a sweet contrast, particularly in some Middle Eastern and North African cuisines. Different varieties of dried grape yield golden, sultana, and dark raisins, each with subtly different flavours.
