Rapadura sugar (whole)
Rapadura sugar is an unrefined whole cane sugar made by evaporating sugarcane juice without separating the molasses, resulting in a coarse, golden-brown sugar with a rich, caramel flavour. It is used as a less-processed substitute for refined sugar in baking and cooking. Its moisture content and coarser texture can behave somewhat differently from white or standard brown sugar in a recipe.
Measured whole and unprepared, before any chopping, slicing, or other processing changes its density.
