Rolled oats
Rolled oats are oat groats that have been steamed and then flattened with rollers, giving them a quicker cooking time than whole oat groats while retaining a chewy texture. They are cooked into porridge, used in baking for biscuits and granola, or soaked overnight for muesli-style breakfasts. Their flattened shape distinguishes them from steel-cut oats, which are simply chopped rather than rolled.
