Satay sauce
Satay sauce is a savoury, slightly sweet peanut-based sauce, seasoned with soy sauce, lime, chilli, and other spices, widely used in Southeast Asian cooking. It is served as a dipping sauce for grilled skewered meats, particularly chicken satay, or tossed with noodles. Its thick, creamy consistency comes from ground peanuts or peanut butter.
