Savoy cabbage (shredded)
Savoy cabbage is a variety of cabbage with deeply crinkled, ruffled leaves and a milder, more tender texture than smooth-leafed green cabbage. It is used in soups, stews, and braises, or as a wrap for fillings due to its pliable leaves. Its texture is generally softer and cooks faster than standard round cabbage.
Shredding produces long, thin strips that trap more air than a fine grate, so shredded measurements are typically lighter per cup.
