Snake beans (chopped)

Snake beans, also known as yardlong beans, are very long, slender green beans used widely in Southeast Asian cooking, with a flavour similar to regular green beans but a slightly firmer texture. They are stir-fried, blanched, or added to curries, typically cut into shorter lengths before cooking. Their length distinguishes them visually from more common green bean varieties.

Chopping breaks an ingredient into pieces, which changes how much air gets trapped between them compared with the whole form.
